Tonderayi Makaya
DHM granted a scholarship to Tonderayi Makaya for study at Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU). In 2021, he gained a diploma in Disability Studies, and wrote the committee to express his appreciation for their support, saying “I couldn't have achieved this without your support. May you please pass my appreciation and joy with the committee on Deaf and Hard of Hearing Ministries.”
In appreciation, he has shared with us his research report, An investigation into the problems faced by students with hearing impairments in the Primary School with specific reference to Communication barriers:
