Mission Hearts in Haiti
Mission Hearts Logo

The team has arrived back home after a wonderful week of serving in Haiti! What a week of blessings it was for each of the team members and a lot was accomplished! From Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Canada volunteers came together with one heart to serve. Visiting the Haiti Deaf Tent area was especially a touching part of our mission trip. With around 300 deaf living together in one area we were able to provide limited medical services to adults and children at the camp. But the added blessing was being able to fellowship!

Mission Hearts was started so that deaf and hearing could serve where needed anywhere in the world. In times of disaster or in rebuilding support. This week was an example of what can be done with God's grace, faith and the prayers of many. If you have been considering serving on a mission we invite you to join us on our next mission to Haiti March 20, 2011. Contact hands@pinncom.com for information.

Chris and Nicole teach Scouts the basics of first aid.

Sharon and the Deaf teachers think they had as much fun as the kids in VBS!

Talk about a blessing: when we planned the sign class for the teachers, we thought there would be around 10 to 15 teachers, deaf and hearing. We had 60 teachers from 4 schools in Port au Prince! Victor and Karen were the main teachers of the class but Nicole and Dee jumped in and helped. Our thanks to Father Sadoni for bringing all the schools together for this class.

All of the children touched our hearts, but as always, there is one that grabs it and won't let go. And we even had a day of relaxing and sharing in the beautiful waters of Haiti.

Leaving Haiti is always hard, and we always leave a part of us there.

We will post more pictures on our website, http://www.missionheartserves.com/.
